Southern Eye Center Has a Heart for Community
Southern Eye Center has a rich tradition of community outreach, and when disaster struck in Columbia, Mississippi, two days before Christmas, they were ready and willing to lend a hand.
Following the devastating tornado on December 23, 2014, Chris Crawford, Clinic Manager at Southern Eye Center and a native of Columbia, answered the call for help. He spent his entire Christmas vacation volunteering his time and efforts with the Columbia Strong organization to help coordinate disaster relief services.
When the Southern Eye Center team learned of Chris’ efforts with Columbia Strong, the managing physicians not only allowed, but encouraged him to stay on two extra weeks to continue his work in Columbia.
